Production Packager

Kelly Outsourcing & Consulting Group (KellyOCG), a managed solution provider and business unit of Kelly Services, Inc., is currently seeking a Production Packager for a long-term engagement at one of our Global clients in Carrollton, KY.  This role is a full-time, fully benefitted position.  All KellyOCG employees receive annual performance reviews. 

As a Production Packager placed with KellyOCG you will be responsible for the following:

Shift Schedule - Rotating 12 hour shift schedule is worked, including both days and nights, working 6:00-6:00 (3 days on, 3 days off, 3 nights on, 3 nights off)
Pay is $14.00 an hour. You will also receive 80 hours of PTO (120 hours starting year 5), 40 hours of paid sick time, 8 Paid Holidays, access to 401(k), and we pay 50% of your Health/Vision/& Dental Insurance.


  • Operation of packaging equipment (Drum Filling, IBC filling, palletizing and wrapping, QA testing).
  • Operation of fork trucks.
  • Inspection and loading of box trailers and overseas containers.
  • Receive and properly store raw materials.
  • Understand and adhere to all company procedures, policies and standards.
  • Understand and adhere to all regulatory requirements for Hazmat and non-hazmat shipments.
  • Housekeeping/5S to ensure a safe and efficient production environment. The Shipping Technician is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized work area. This may include cleaning up spills, picking up debris, rolling up hoses, washing equipment, etc.
  • Receive and deliver training to maintain a highly capable workforce. Shipping Technician are expected to train and work with new employees to develop a good understanding of the process and creating a safe learning environment.

Required Qualifications: 

  • Able to work effectively as part of a team and as a representative of the team to others.
  • Must be mechanically inclined.
  • Willing and able to work a 12-hour rotating shift schedule.
  • Goal oriented, self-sufficient, self-reliant, and self-starter
  • Personally responsible, capable of situation management through prioritization, and multi-tasking.
  • Able to certify on all technology and , equipment functions
  • Willing and able to comply with all Safety regulations as mandated by Site and Corporation, as well as Local, State, and Federal guidelines.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.
  • TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) card required within 21 days of start date

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience operating a fork truck.
    • Certificate required
  • Experience in packaging operations.
