Core tasks:


The Business Analyst works as a liaison with the internal business departments and the providers of services to the Enterprise.


o Elicits requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions and use cases. Must be flexible and possess the ability to adapt to changing priorities. On-Call duties may include carrying a cell phone for immediate notifications.

o Work in team environments and contribute to the team performance.

o Write clearly and communicate information and ideas scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis.

o Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high level information into details, abstract up from low level information to a general understanding and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.

o Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following artifacts as needed: Functional requirements, business requirements, use cases GUI, screen and interface designs, develop, monitor and conduct application testing.

o Work independently with users to define concepts under the direction of project managers.

o Drive and challenge business units on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans.

o Strong analytical skills and product management skills to be able to understand and interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.

o Serves as a conduit between the customer and the software development team.

o Collaborates with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze trade-offs between usability and performance needs.

o Be the liaison between the business units, technology teams and support teams.


o The successful Business Analyst will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in business analysis.

o 4 year degree (Preferably Computer Science or similar)

o Knowledge of Client server technologies. Mainframe knowledge is also beneficial.

o Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.

o Knowledge of project management methods and tools.

o Experience with Oracle, DB2 and SQL databases.

o Working knowledge of Agile practices.

o Ability to work in a matrix organization.

o Ability to establish deliverables and detail customer requirements, constraints, and assumptions with stakeholders and service providers in order to establish the deliverables for the service providers, using requirement gathering techniques.

o Ability to implement approved actions and workarounds with vendors minimizing risk.


The Business Analyst will manage one or more non-technical projects within the constraints of scope, quality, time, and cost, to deliver specified requirements. Responsibilities may include resource allocation and all phases of development life cycle (i.e. feasibility study, requirements, analysis, ROI, business plan, design testing, and implementation planning). Regularly interacts with management. Coordinates and directs the activities of project team members. Ensures all project requirements and/or objectives are documented.

W2/ HOURLY PAY RATE: Open (based upon experience and qualifications)

  • There is no “per diem” with this position
  • There is no relocation budgeted for this position. If this position requires you to relocate you will be responsible for those costs.
