Kelly Services is currently seeking a EHS Intern for one of our top clients in Cornelia, GA.  Looking for someone who can work from Jan - May 2020. 

As an EHS Intern placed with Kelly Services you will be responsible for perform various assignments involving Environmental and Safety reporting, measuring and documentation support services for the GA Campus EHS team comprised of three FDA regulated manufacturing sites (2 medical device and 1 pharmaceutical).

This position will work closely with the EHS team to support Environmental programs including waste management, waste water treatment, water sampling, hazard communications and regulatory reporting.  Support for the Safety Programs will include Lock-out-tag-out, Industrial hygiene monitoring, and Communications strategy to meet EHS standards.  This position will be exposed and support all areas of the plant, including the “behind the scenes” systems which support manufacturing operations such as waste water treatment operations, chemical storage and waste areas.

 

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Assignments include generation of various reports and installation qualifications (IQs), eCMMS (computerized maintenance management system) updates/work order processing/asset management, general project support including installation, equipment start-up and decommissioning, predictive/pro-active maintenance strategies as needed. 
  • Provide updates to SOPs, drawings, etc. following appropriate change control. 
  • Support additional facilities soft services (Security, general building & safety improvements)

 

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum overall GPA of 2.4
  • Current student of:  Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Preferred sophomore or junior for co-op rotations.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office.  Excellent written and oral communication skills required.  Excellent organizational skills required.  Ability to present project work in Microsoft Power Point is a requirement.  Self-starter, ability to eventually work under minimal supervision.
  • Must have transportation during the Co-op.  Ability to start Spring 2020 with ability to complete a minimum of three rotations.
