REPORTS TO: Quality Assurance Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES: Inspects finished or in-process fabricated or supplied parts, equipment, and assemblies and determines acceptance or rejection. Evaluates fabricated or mechanical production parts or modules against standards by reviewing drawings, and using measuring tools. Inspects in-process and/or finished production assemblies for conformance to required workmanship standards. Verifies the conformance of assemblies in accordance to drawings, specification or established operating procedures. Validates correct documentation completion. Interfaces with appropriate departments to obtain additional information for testing or inspection of product. Prepares inspection records. Other duties as required in support of the department and company

Completes First Article Inspection Reports in accordance with AS9102. Maintains compliance to internal policies and procedures, documents violations

Monitors system compliance to AS9100 requirements. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Experience in quality and/or manufacturing. Experience in a DOD environment preferred. Usually requires training in inspection techniques and principles and a minimum of 3-years relevant experience with 2 years in quality assurance.


Advanced knowledge of inspection techniques and instruments. Read, interpret and support development of engineering drawings Expert in, and certified to, WHMA-IPC-620, J-STD-001 and NASA Specifications. Understand and interpret the requirements of AS50881 Understand, interpret and apply quality standards as defined in AS9100 Understand, interpret and apply quality standards as defined in AS9102 Use standard mechanical measurement devices (Calipers, Ball Gauges, Radius Gauges, etc.) Use standard electrical measurement devices (multi-meters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, etc.) Document inspections Use MS Office products to update test and inspection documents, reports, charts, checklists and databases Good reading, writing and math skills. Good communication skills in both written and verbal. Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines. Ability to work overtime and flexible schedules, including alternate shifts.

Job Type: Full-time. Salary: $33,280-52,000 dependent upon experience.
