Facilities Tech Leader

As Team Leader and Senior Technician, takes a leadership role over all other Maintenance Technicians and lends experience and knowledge in the day to day maintenance of the physical plant, power plant, utilities, mechanical and HVAC equipment. Oversees and interacts with contractors for capital improvements and repair. Oversees the control of spare parts inventory. Performs required plumbing, electrical, boiler, utility and HVAC repairs. Oversees, plans and delegates the scheduling, performance and completion of preventive maintenance and contract work.


  • Generate, schedule and delegate all preventive maintenance work orders
  • Generate, review and update Standard Operational Procedures
  • Plan, develop, implement and evaluate projects
  • Executing all preventive maintenance repair of all utilities and equipment
  • Troubleshooting and repairing equipment and components
  • Performing all required plumbing, electrical, boiler, utility, and HVAC repairs
  • Participating in off-hours on-call rotation and the on-call emergency rotation schedule.
  • Ensuring that all work orders assigned to him/her are planned and completed as requested and returned, on a daily basis, with proper documentation.
  • Planning, developing, implementing and evaluating projects
  • Performing other assignments as directed by manager or supervisor. 
  • Plumbing, Utilities, installation methods, troubleshooting and repair techniques and methods. Demonstrated basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Office and other Windows based programs and internet skills.


  • AS degree or higher in trades or proven experience equivalency
  • Minimum 5 years' direct experience in a an industrial environment with manufacturing equipment and/or facilities in a production environment
  • Work related experience in ensuring compliance with safety initiatives 
  • Extensive experience with GMP
  • Wastewater license required
  • Valid license in one of the following trades: HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical or Engineering required
  • Knowledgeable in the areas of hydraulics, air systems, mechanical drives, mechanical components, HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Utilities,  installation methods, troubleshooting and repair techniques and methods. Demonstrated basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Office and other Windows based programs and internet skills.
