HR Intern

Kelly Services is currently seeking an HR Intern for our customer, Bausch + Lomb in Rochester NY.

Human Resources Intern will gain knowledge, training, and practical skills through a comprehensive internship program to include hands on learning of recruiting, benefits, employee relations, leave of absence process etc. 

  • Assist recruiting teams and HR to create diverse sourcing strategies by identify regional recruiting partners including diversity and veterans sources. 
  • Make connections and create relationships that introduce Bausch and Lomb/Valeant to community partners.
  • Identify areas of opportunity to create materials that provide information to employees and add value to the employee experience. 
  • Assist Director of Human Resources and Human Resources Manager in various support projects in the areas of employee engagement, Group Team leadership training and development, retiree and LTD benefits.
  • Assist with and learn about day-to-day Human Resource operations including headcount and staffing, leave administration, employee relations, recruiting, procedure and policy application and administration, and benefits. 
  • Ability to exercise discretion in handling confidential information.
  • Assist with HR projects as needed.
  • Computer Skills including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures, excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to independently on assigned projects.
  • Experience working in an office or doing self director project work preferred.  
  • Work 12-25 hours during semester and up to 40 hours during breaks.
  • $15 per hour
