CAD Designer

Technical Partner

Location: Saline, MI and Ann Arbor, MI

 

Description:

Work closely with Design Engineers and provide technical assistance including but not limited to:

  • Basic CAD Operation including Catia and Creo 
  • Cost & Mass Administration
  • Parts List Creation
  • Engineering Drawing Change Instruction Creation & Management
  • Drawing Printing, Plotting & Folding
  • Group File Management
  • Administrative support to manage Development Projects
  • Uploading/downloading Files and Technical Information between Affiliates
  • Generate and present visual status reports
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience of CAD Operation including CATIA and CREO
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with Design Engineers
  • Mindset to provide customer service to all downstream people/processes
  • Work well in team setting
  • Flexibility to quickly accommodate changes
  • Self-motivated and detail oriented
  • Flexibility to adjust work plan and quickly accommodate changes
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Familiarity with Vehicle Structure & Components is a plus
  • Experience in R&D / Technical Business Environment or Associate Degree
  • Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Windows and Internet Explorer
  • Experience in Japanese business culture is a plus
