Kelly Scientific Resources is currently seeking a Microbiologist for one of our top clients in Charlotte, NC.

As a Microbiologist placed with Kelly Scientific Resources, you will perform laboratory testing procedures in support of quality control and product release. You will play a key role in interpreting laboratory results and recommending new procedures in order to optimize production.


Additional Job Responsibilities:


  • Perform, analyze, and interpret microbiological testing of finished products, raw materials, and environmental samples according to USP (or other) requirements
  • Isolate and prepare cultures of significant bacteria or other micro-organisms in prescribed or standard inhibitory media
  • Perform environmental monitoring within manufacturing and laboratory facilities
  • Write and contribute to the content of SOPs
  • Facilitate out of specification (OOS) investigations and report appropriately
  • Setting up, operating and maintaining laboratory instruments



Job Requirements:


  • Bachelors degree in the Microbiology or Biology
  • 1-3 years of experience in a microbiology laboratory
  • Familiarity GLP or GMP guidelines a plus
  • Ability to work individually and cohesively as part of a team
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
