Sales Director

Job Description

As the Director, Inside Sales, you'll lead and manage a group of sales managers and have direct P&L/pipeline responsibilities for a large sales team in our Conway, AR office. In this role, you'll act as the liaison for this F500 company with our technology partners, clients, the Conway community and a number of internal stakeholders. Overall, your goal will be to recruit, hire, train, manage and develop a world-class sales organization.

In this role, you'll be responsible for the oversight of inbound/outbound sales activity for new or existing accounts, as well as resource allocation, including budget and personnel. What's also critical in this role is successful engagement with the local community and representing Insight as a brand and economic ambassador, including community philanthropy and giving activities. In order to be successful, you'll need to maintain effective communication with executives and managers across the organization to determine resource requirements and coordinate efforts across teams to leverage company's capabilities.

Responsibilities:

-Develop and direct activities to execute sales strategies and successfully achieve revenue and gross profit goals; establish and implement short- and long-range goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
-Lead and manage the sales staff including directing sales efforts, performance managing staff to a specific sales quota, coaching, team building, goal setting, and professional development. You'll do this across a team of Sales Managers, our individual Account Executives and other support personnel in the Conway office.
-Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of sales processes and systems; coordinate sales operations with other departments/divisions within the company. Provide recommendations and execute on process improvements and team alignment.
-Develop and/or maintain and improves business relations with all clients and partners.
-Directly manage major and critical developing client accounts, and coordinate the management/coverage of all other accounts.
-Participate at the highest level in the development of sales compensation structures, ensuring consistency and fairness throughout. Recommend improvements to the existing compensation structure to better motivate and reward sales staff for the desired performance.





Requirements

-Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; MBA is highly desirable.
-5-7 years in sales management and 3+ years managing managers in a high-tech or IT-services related industry.
-3+ years P&L management experience.
-Strong leadership skills in teamwork and communication across multiple organizations.
-Deep knowledge of IT products and services and the ability to show a proven track record of consistently exceeding corporate objectives and quotas.
-Experience in strategic planning and execution with knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management. Knowledge of structuring sales quota goals and gross profit/revenue expectations.
-Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to motivate teams to produce results within tight time frames and simultaneously manage several projects. Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings.
