Sr Biostatistician

Kelly Services is currently seeking a Sr Biostatistician to work a contract assignment for one of our top clients. The duration of the assignment is 6 months, but the client has said that extensions are likely and if they feel that you are a good fit there may be the opportunity for the position to turn permanent. The company is based in Deerfield, IL but your role will be remote (so, you would be able to work from home). Training will need to take place onsite in Deerfield for 1-2 weeks at the beginning of the project. Kelly is a full service workforce solutions provider to 98% of the Fortune 100™ companies. Primary Responsibilities of the Sr Biostatistician includes:

  • Clinical Biostatistician (at least 3 years of recent relevant experience working for a similar company) 
  • Contractor to hire opportunity for the right candidate. 
  • Responsible for study-level statistical expertise. 
  • Represent Statistics function in support of internal clients and customers. 
  • Author and provide input on relevant sections of clinical research and analytical protocols including endpoint specification, study logistics, sample size determination/justification, randomization plans, statistical analysis plans, interim analysis, and stopping rules (if applicable). 
  • Manage data release and review meetings for studies; reviews and participates in finalizing and obtaining approval of final manuscript or final reports for studies. 
  • May be accountable for three or more concurrent clinical studies. 
  • Knowledge of SAS software and general computing in the pharmaceutical area as it relates to clinical trials in research and development. 
  • Strong working knowledge of statistical data analysis and data management principles. 
  • Knowledge of the drug discovery and development process and clinical trial methodology. 
  • General project management skills. 
  • Good oral and written communication. 
  • Good collaborative skills and ability to work with a cross-functional team. 
  • Experience with different clinical phases 
  • Clinical experience in a regulated environment and organization fit are the keys things the manager needs for the team. 

Education and Experience Requirement of the Sr Biostatistician includes

  • Masters/PhD in Statistics 
  • Minimum of 2-5 years recent related clinical experience (closer to 3 years of experience)

  • Contract assignment, duration 6 months; extensions are likely (possibility for the position to turn permanent).
