Materials Management Associate

Materials Management Associate, San Diego, CA

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Organizes daily activities for greatest efficiency and the completion of all related functions.
  • Processes lists with the use of computer inventory system according to written procedures.
  • Organizes and verifies customer orders in accordance with established procedures. 
  • Performs physical inventory as required by supervisor.
  • Maintains Lists and associated documentation in accordance with Quality Systems Regulations (QSRs).
  • Inspects incoming raw materials according to established procedures.
  • Assists with the transfer of released materials and stocking/organizing areas.
  • Performs the necessary computer inventory system entries.
  • Informs supervisor of equipment needs and other supplies required. Informs supervisor of broken or deteriorating equipment.
  • Maintains work area in a clean and orderly manner. Performs Friday Clean-up responsibilities in a thorough, timely manner.
  • Follows established safety and environmental procedures. Reports all safety hazards immediately.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma, general education degree (GED) or B.S/B.A degree, with 3-4 years experience. 
  • In some instances, exceptions to the years of experience can be made based on management discretion. 
  • Relevant work experience may be substituted for a degree. 
  • Proficient in the operation and maintenance of computerized shipping systems and report generation.
