Field Specimen Processor

Kelly Scientific Resources has an opening for a Field Specimen Processor in Hagerstown and Frederick, MD.  

The Field Specimen Processor collects and ships patient specimens in an accurate, efficient and timely manner. It is of the utmost importance, the Field Specimen Processor adhere to all HIPAA and compliance policies while providing the highest level of client and customer service. In accordance with Standard Operating Procedures the Field Specimen Processor will:

  • Greet and identify patient
  • Obtain billing and testing information
  • Collect urine and oral fluid specimens for drug testing
  • Package and prepare specimens for shipping to testing location
  • Perform customer service duties to including phone inquiries and patient encounters
  • Maintain workstation supplies



  • Must be able to work efficiently with remote supervision, management and customer service
  • Must be able to handle urine and oral fluid specimens
  • Able to work in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to communicate well and demonstrate good written and oral skills
  • Detail oriented, highly organized individual with a focus on time management
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Dependable, an individual you can count on!                                              

Experience:  None required, some medical and/or customer service experience preferred

Education:  High school diploma required, some post high school training preferred
