Packaging/Finishing Operator– Ringwood, IL

Kelly Outsourcing & Consulting Group (KellyOCG), a managed solution provider and business unit of Kelly Services, Inc., is currently seeking a Packaging/Finishing Operator for a long-term engagement at one of our Global clients in Ringwood, IL.  This role is a full-time, fully benefitted position.   As a KellyOCG employee you will be eligible for Medical, Dental, 401K and a variety of other benefits to choose from.   You’ll also be eligible for paid time off, including holiday, vacation and sick/personal time.  All KellyOCG employees receive annual performance reviews. 

As a Packaging/Finishing Operator placed with KellyOCG you will be responsible for the following:

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Work in the Polymer and Adhesive production area preparing, inspecting, and filling containers.     
  • Work with production team to ensure quality products and output are meeting standards. 
  • Safely operate various equipment to transport finished products.
  • Accurately weigh products to ensure processes are met.
  • Record production data.  
  • Hand and Forklift truck operation. 
  • Perform all work safely and injury-free.  
  • Actively participate in improving department and plant safety performance.  
  • Attend and participate in Department Safety Training.   

Additional Information:

Position is 40+ hours a week and 12 hours work shift, (7 AM – 7 PM).    Schedule follows 2 days on, 2 days off then 3 days on, 3 days off.   Occasionally weekend work will be required but schedule allows flexibility for time off during the week and weekends.   

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED equivalent.
  • Able to follow SOP’s and written instructions.  
  • Valid Driver’s license. 
  • PC Experience with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • 6 months experience in manufacturing or packaging preferred.
  • Experience with maintaining DOT paperwork, IATA certification and DGI training.
  • Must be able to lift 55 lbs. safely.
  • Qualified candidate will need to meet all requirements of the pre-employment “Fitness for Duty” assessment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Perform basic math skills and computer knowledge.   
  • Able to climb ladders, stairs and stand 90% of the day.  
  • Safety oriented and quality focused
