Engineering Project Management Lead

This individual will identify, develop and direct the implementation of Exit goals and strategy.  He/she will plan and direct the organization’s activities and deliver against targets for financial performance, quality, and service and compliance adherence.  He/she will be responsible for leading a Project Team of 0 – 12 resources. 


He/she will provide Project Leadership for implementing end-to-end category strategy, maintaining key relationships within the business and managing cross segment supplier relationships. The position must shape, connect and lead resources to deliver on key projects.


Sculpture Project Lead scope of responsibilities include:

  • Develop and drive the Project vision for, with and through the stakeholder community.
  • Identify emerging needs within a specific area of focus and develop the vision, strategy and implementation plan that will effectively meet the long range requirements of the business partners and deliver the maximum value.
  • Execute supply base assessment and supplier segmentation; Analyze global supplier footprint.
  • Perform analysis such as comparative analysis, rationalization analysis, sourcing decisions and cost optimization identification analysis; Perform market intelligence analysis for current and emerging market movement trends to support de-risking of the Supply Base.
  • Actively participate in the sourcing process; Understand long range requirements of business partners and engage in strategic planning and partnering to ensure alignment.
  • Develop and lead price and cost initiatives as required ; drive RFQs for medium to high complexity sourcing decisions; participate in supplier assessments and business awards.
  • Interface directly with supplier leadership to assure alignment of objectives are met, including quality, reliability, innovation and cost; Participate in additional negotiations, if required.
  • Deliver on financial, service, reliability, quality, innovation, and growth commitments.
  • Identify, develop and direct the implementation of Project goals in alignment with category strategies, based on deep subject matter expertise and an informal understanding of industry/market dynamics.
  • Escalate issues that may impact the Global Procurement organization.
  • Build and maintain relationships throughout that results in dynamic interactive dialogue on a broad range of perspectives and information critical to the development of optimal approaches and solutions.




Major Duties & Responsibilities

Approximate Percentage of Time



Business Engagement: Proactively and independently engages Vice President level stakeholders and below; Serves as a point of escalation for issues; Brings resolution to issues


Project Management & Strategy: Develops comprehensive, medium-high complexity project strategies; Conducts complex analysis and proactively offers insights based off analysis; Supports execution of strategy; Responsible for medium-high complexity project execution; prepare indepth Powerpoint presentations for Project Manager and Sr Management review


Supplier Management: Participates in cross-segment/enterprise SRM.  Provides inputs into all other SRM processes related to Project.


Sourcing: Responsible for overall Project execution


Contracting: Provides broad contracting guidelines and serves as a point of escalation for issues; Proactively manages, with SRM, all contracting activities including medium-high complexity contracts


Resolves issues; Supports policy deployment


Procurement Strategy & Enablement: Provides management; Provides insights and makes recommendations










Broad-based understanding of business operations and practices with core areas of focus (Project Management, Spend Management, Category Management, Sourcing and Supplier Management, Quality Systems and Technical skills experience required)

  • Strong leadership, communication, influencing and collaboration skills are required
  • Able to prioritize requests, and propose effective alternatives when necessary 
  • Ability to show judgment in developing new approaches and resolving issues

  • Must have Microsoft Project and Advanced PowerPoint skills.  Adaptiv or similar quality systems is preferred.
