Buying/Procurement Specialist

Kelly Services is actively looking for a Buyer/Procurement Specialist for a 1+ year contract assignment located in Houston, Texas (77073).

Buyer/Procurement Specialist is responsible for defined work for the Digital Technology business.  In this role, you will follow an individual work plan, meet day-to-day short-term objectives and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning. Support multiple stakeholders in sourcing Digital and Telecomm products/professional services Issue and manage purchase orders, Supplier relationships and fulfillment activities to minimize risk Coordinate, help direct, as well as perform all required functions from purchase through to satisfactory delivery of products/professional services and Supplier payment Responsible for coordinating all procurement activities for assigned commodities to meet the requirements of the business Responsible for initiating and managing requests to add Suppliers to the Approved Vendors List Responsible for resolving Supplier invoice holds Perform some or all the required functions from initiation of an intent to purchase to satisfactory delivery of product/professional service Achieve Sourcing and Business KPIs

Essential Qualifications: Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college or a high school diploma/GED with at least 2-4 years of experience in a Sourcing role Desired Characteristics: Experience sourcing DT/IT Telecomm products/professional services preferred Ability to cope and resolve multiple complex situations daily SAP system knowledge and experience required PO and invoice/pay process Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously Effective problem identification and solution skills Strong oral and written communication skills Highly motivated and results driven Strong analytical skills Strong oral and written communication skills.
