Business Analyst Opportunity - Rapid City, SD

Kelly Services is seeking a Sr. Business  Analyst for a leading insurance company located in Rapid City, SD.

Job Title: Sr. Business Analyst

Pay rate: $40- $47 per hour 
Location: Rapid City, SD, 57701
Type: W2 Contract Only (Possibility of temp to perm)

Length: 12 months (Likely go longer)

Job Description & Day to Day Responsibilities:
Temp to perm? Temporary but does have the possibility of being perm. 

This is a high-stress/fast paced environment.
This Business Analyst II position will support both internal and external stakeholders in the implementation of enhancements to the Global Preneed systems and business processes.
The ideal BA will have excellent written and communication skills, industry knowledge, and 4-6 years of BA experience in a similar level position.
Additionally, this BA would have the following responsibilities:

- Write business requirements and all other project documentation for moderately complex projects, including the defining of scope, current state and objectives
- Ensure IT and business understanding of requested modifications of more complex projects, and the accuracy of their technical documents
- Develop plans for project tasks, including scheduling and coordinating activities of other team members to produce deliverables
- Work closely with our IT and business partners in clarifying requirements and validating test plans and results
- Have the ability to document use cases to more clearly define requirements and testing expectations
- Anticipate problems, develop contingency plans and recommend solutions for project issues
- Identify opportunities to improve or gain efficiencies within our system applications and/or the department
- Assess impact of proposed business solutions on current systems and procedures

- Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively perform system support duties
- Ability to quickly learn new applications and technology
- Requires knowledge of a variety of applications including mainframe systems, web applications, Microsoft suite and SharePoint,
- Ability to prioritize, organize and work independently or as part of a project team to complete multiple tasks
- Mortgage and/or Insurance background a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience
- Project Management experience and/or Green Belt Certification or Business Analyst Certification a plus
