Research Associate

Research Associate, South San Francisco, CA


  • Conduct experiments to elucidate the mechanistic biology of candidate target, generating relevant engineered cell models, and perform a variety of growth assays upon chemical or genetic perturbation.
  • Conduct detailed data analyses and will present these data in relevant forums.


  • Education: Ph.D. degree or BS/MS degree with 5 years experience in one of the following disciplines: Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Cancer Biology, or a related field.
  • Must have experience with mammalian cell biology and cell culture, western blotting, qPCR, siRNA, shRNA, and CRISPR technology.
  • Experience in colony formation assays and cell viability assays
  • Experience in target knockdown experiments using siRNA, shRNA, or CRISPR
  • Experience in generating stable cell lines
  • Experience in microscopy and live imaging
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a pro-active attitude.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills are essential.
  • Attention to detail and enthusiasm for implementing basic science knowledge to inform drug discovery efforts are a must.
