Administrative Assistant - Midland, MI

Kelly Services is seeking candidates for a full time Administrative Assistant role with an industry leading, Fortune 500, global, chemical manufacturing company, in Midland, MI.


The ideal candidate will be comfortable with a fast-paced, ever-changing environment and interfacing with multiple businesses, functions, and geographies as well as a wide range of staff including: direct staff, executives, new hires, international contacts, marketing, sales, and business services staff as well as periodic customer interaction. In addition, the ability to manage priorities and deadlines is essential to this role.


Key roles include:

  •  Provide administrative assistance to the PtP Operations leadership team as directed by managers. Anticipating needs and taking appropriate action to effectively manage administrative responsibilities relating to calendar management, team support, domestic and international travel arrangements, and visa preparations/submissions.
  • Participate as an active team member, working both independently and in cooperation with other team members to complete projects and assignments in a timely manner.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment, exercising analytical and critical thinking techniques to accomplish quality results.
  • Global meeting planning (e.g. including teleconferencing, videoconferencing, agenda preparation, meeting minutes, and conference room set-ups).
  • Submit work orders as needed, file share management, and visitor accesses inclusive of ITO applications and Wi-Fi accesses.  
  • Serve as a work group contact for printers and computers.
  • Presentation creation and modification via PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Conference room scheduling.
  • Timely expense report processing via Concur.
  • Manage organizational charts and distribution lists.
  • Perform general administrative tasks (e.g. mail, records and file maintenance, seating assignments/reporting, and problem resolutions, as needed.
  • Ability to overcome obstacles in order to complete projects/tasks effectively and efficiently, addressing needs as required.
  • Trusted to handle sensitive and confidential information.




  •  Required Qualifications:
  • 2-3 years of previous experience in an office professional/administration role.
  • This position requires the ability to build strong working relationships with diverse groups. The job duties are diverse and require quick, accurate and consistent decision making.
  • Able to communicate and relate well with those internal and external to the company.
  •  Strong verbal and written communication skills are needed.
  •  Able to handle multiple priorities from multiple sources.
  • Must be an organized self-starter exhibiting good judgment and the flexibility to adapt to priority changes and demands.
  • Must be able to apply software applications to respond to requests with attention to detail and accuracy.
  •  Proficiency in Microsoft applications, such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook, is required.
  • A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States.  No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.



 Preferred Qualifications:

  •  Proficiency with Concur expense report processing is desired (SAP).
  • Intermediate level experience with the creation and manipulation of large spreadsheets (including pivot tables) is desired.




  • A minimum of a High School Diploma, GED or equivalent is required.
  • Associate's degree/4+yrs military experience preferred.
