Job Description:
This position is part of the Total Loss Team and works to settle claims that are associated with collateral that has been deemed a total loss. In addition, this group works to coordinate and settle claims made against unused portions of insurances that were financed as part of the loan for items such as GAP, added insurances and warranties.

Job Responsibilities & Requirements:

- Complete, mail and document all manual correspondence to members and vendors
- Write up teller posting instructions for payments from insurance claims
- Order and review collection files
- Documents member files with total loss information from insurance company and follows through until claim is paid
- Provide required documentation to get GAP claims filed and work with members until the claim is paid
- Contact insurance center to stop tracking on total loss vehicles
- Contact dealers to apply for refunds on unused portions of service contacts, GAP and life/disability insurance policies or other add-ons on all deficiency balance vehicle loans when applicable
- Basic knowledge of DNA, IBS Carm-Pro collection systems and Visa
- Has thorough knowledge and understanding of the credit union-s overall management philosophy, organizational structure, all departmental operations, and policies and procedures
- Performs other duties as assigned



Requirements

Requirements:
- Must be eligible to be bonded
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must have the ability to multi-task and work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Must understand and comply with all required federal and state regulations associated
with this position.
- Must be able to speak and understand fluent English.
- HS Diploma or GED
