Essential Job Functions:
1. Make repairs within scope of ability
2. Participate in set-up reduction
3. Assist with training co-workers
4. Perform statistical process control (SPC)
5. Select the proper type and grade of grinding wheels for the particular application.
6. Monitor monthly gage report.
7. Read and write programming (G-code and conversational)
8. Monitor daily and weekly production needs
9. Design and implement required fixturing
10. Solicit safety ideas.
11. Program Zeiss, troubleshoot and educate co-workers on how to operate.
12. Subject matter expert for manual and CNC grinding.
13. Select proper infeeds and traverse feeds for finishing of various materials
14. Perform cylindrical grinding
15. Consistently grind to close tolerances of four decimal places or better (i.e.0.000X)
16. Select proper holding devices for work. I.e. chucks, collets, faceplates, vices, sine plates, etc.
17. Perform ID (inner diameter), OD (outer diameter and surface grinding.
18. Deburr parts during machining operations.
19. Maintain necessary records
20. Set-up and operate precision grinding equipment.
21. Set-up and performing basic grinding operations on manual equipment.
22. Perform preventive maintenance on grinding equipment.
23. Inspect ground parts.
24. Complete all necessary paperwork as required including scorecards, hazard recognitions, routers and data, Routers, Follower Tags, ATP, Slitter Sheets, etc.
25. Scrap parts according to SOPs.
26. Train co-workers.
27. Check work using precision measuring equipment, optical flats, micrometers, indicators, etc.
28. Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
29. Work from blueprints and/or set-up sheets.
30. Work well with minimal supervision

List the minimum qualifications and experience required. Only list those areas that are essential to this position. Be as specific as possible, i.e. Bachelor-s degree in Chemical Engineering, 5 - 7 years relevant work experience.
1. High School diploma or equivalent and completed Trade School or apprenticeship program or one (1) to three (3) years of related experience.
2. Three (3) to five (5) years of experience working with precision grinders (surface and O.D.) honing and lapping equipment.
3. Good knowledge of shop math.
4. Be able to read blueprints
5. Be able to use precision measuring equipment (i.e. optical flats, micrometers, indicators, etc.)
6. Work overtime as required.

1. Frequent bending, lifting and standing for extended periods of time.
2. Frequent lifting up to 20 lbs. from floor to bench.
3. Occasional lifting to 50 lbs.
4. Good eye and hand dexterity
Include behavioral characteristics and leadership capabilities
1. In accordance with FAA regulations, this is a safety sensitive job functions and is therefore subject to random drug testing.
2. Capable of completing basic set-ups.
3. Familiar with precision measuring equipment.
4. Wear the appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) while performing tasks.
5. Participate in a minimum of one (1) Kaizen event per year.
6. Be able to be certified as a COP (Certified Operator Program).

- This position requires access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services. U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, protected person status, or U.S. Government export authorization is required. Any offer of employment is contingent upon Pall obtaining the necessary employment visa and export authorization, including, if required, an export license from the applicable U.S. government agency.

- Must follow all environmental policies and procedures when working with chemicals, oils, and solvents
