Data Entry & Customer Service - Long Island City, NY

Our valued client located in Long Island City is a one of a kind gifting company that specializes in fresh fruit and fine food gift baskets. They pride themselves on over 30 years of experience and their commitment to using only the freshest and highest quality ingredients in their baskets. They are seeking two seasonal data entry clerks to assist with the high volume of data entries, in addition to a seasonal customer service associate to support with handling the high volume of customer service calls received during the busy holiday season. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone seeking to garner experience in the specialty food or customer service industry. These are hourly positions, with a minimum of 40 hours per week and overtime options. The rate for each temporary position will be $18/hr, and these roles will last through December 24th, but perhaps will extend until January 15th depending on volume. The hours and job description for each are listed below:

Data Entry
Hours - 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
-Verifies and logs the receipt of data and obtains any data that is missing.
-Retrieves source files and work from the data center each day.

-Uses data entry equipment to record assigned data.
-Resolves minor processing problems; seeks assistance from supervisor or other appropriate staff for issues beyond immediate expertise.
-Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information.
-Performs other related duties as assigned.
-Assisting with difficult/upset customers

Customer Service
Hours - 7:30am-3:30pm
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
-Responsible for taking phone orders and handling inbound client telephone inquiries and sales.
-Learn the Manhattan Fruitier product catalog and provide gift suggestions to clients.
-Process and enter orders into entry system via incoming phone calls, emails or other correspondence as needed.
-Respond to customer inquiries and concerns.
-Assisting with difficult/upset customers
--Smile through the phone- mentality
-Resolving issues in a timely manner for customers, reshipping damaged items, issuing refunds and overall making sure customers have a positive experience
