Laboratory Technician – South Austin

Kelly Scientific Resources is currently recruiting for a Laboratory Technician for our top food/life science industry client located in South Austin, TX.

As a Lab Technician you will be responsible for supporting the development of immunoassays for food and feed safety.


Main Responsibilities:

  • The candidate will utilize their existing laboratory experience to support the development and characterization of lateral flow immunoassays for food safety applications. They will perform buffer preparation, food extractions, precise/repetitive liquid handling, lateral flow strip testing, data export/analysis Microsoft Excel, and basic experimental design.
  • Experience in other immunoassay formats is highly beneficial in the absence of direct lateral flow experience, as well as applied techniques in analytical chemistry.


  • Education requirements consist of a degree in the life sciences with the following combination of degree type and work experience:
  • Bachelors with 2 or more years of experience or Masters with 0 or more year of experience.
  • Eligible applicants must possess full general laboratory familiarity through a history of biologically or chemically-oriented work.
  • Ideal candidate exhibits general knowledge of biochemistry/molecular biology and full familiarity in a laboratory environment.
  • Candidate should be experienced with the use of common lab equipment including various pipettors, balances, centrifuges, pH meters, spectrophotometers, and protein purification equipment.
  • M-F; 8am-5pm
  • Temp-to-Hire
