Administrative Assistant - Midland, MI

Kelly Services is seeking candidates for a full time Administrative Assistant role with an industry leading, Fortune 500, global, chemical manufacturing company, in Midland, MI.



The candidate will be comfortable interfacing with multiple businesses, functions, and geographies as well as a wide range of people including:  direct staff, visiting executives, new hires, marketing, sales, and business services professionals as well as external customers. 

Incumbent must possess excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, positive attitude, initiative, flexibility, and a professional work ethic.  Must have the ability to handle multiple priorities, make decisions independently, be detail oriented, and complete work accurately and on time.  Individual must be a team player as well as self-motivated.


Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Maintain and manage front desk
  • Serve as communication focal point for the building and its residents
  • Order/maintain office supplies and office equipment for Larkin 200 Building
  • Maintain visitor database and issue visitor badges
  • Maintain the visitor sign in/out guest book
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail
  • Book conference room when needed
  • Arrange food/beverage for meetings
  • Enter work requests for meeting room set up
  • Participate as an active team member, working both independently and in cooperation with other team members to complete projects and assignments in a timely manner
  • Understanding of file share management and SharePoint
  • This person will have access to sensitive and confidential information and must be able to keep such information confidential

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated, has ability to prioritize, consistently meet deadlines and multi-task
  • Must have strong PC skills to access, input, extract information
  • Ability to learn new software systems is required
  • Must work with efficiency, accuracy, flexibility, organization
  • Knowledge and experience with SAP is desirable
