Marketing Communications Specialist

Kelly Services is seeking a Marketing Communications Specialist for one of the world’s largest chemical manufacturing companies in Research Triangle Park, NC.

Hours: 40 hours/week, 8 hours/day
Pay Rate:  $35 - $40 per hour

Overview:

This is a hands-on research and marketing content development role to drive branding and publicity. The purpose of the role is to turn technical information into compelling stories that put Company in the spotlight for branding and customer awareness while educating a wide array of external corporate customers / growers, individual consumers, research scientists, external stakeholders, along with a wide array of internal Company stakeholder audiences. This will be done by performing research, conducting interview fact finding sessions, and working with creative agency to develop draft concept and final content pieces which will be used to tell the Company story, it's value, success, and path for the future. Will take content and arrange in the proper creative way to become visibly appealing with images and content aligned to attract each audience. This role will require some travel locally and possibly across the global footprint along with film crews for telling compelling stories and educating the world via public social media, digital print, and other forms of internal/external media.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create company literature and other forms of communication.
  • Create marketing and promotional materials, both print and electronic.
  • Work with advertisers for timely and useable ad submissions,
  • Copyedit, proofread, and revise communications.
  • Design and launch email marketing campaigns.
  • Recommend, implement and maintain site design and operation.
  • Plan and deliver education courses and materials.
  • Work with manager and business units to determine event budget and manage expenses to that budget.
  • Promote products and services through public relations initiatives.
  • Develop marketing communications campaigns.
  • Create thought leadership materials.
  • Create and deliver press releases, media relations content, case studies, white papers, executive bios, corporate newsletter content, social media content, and speaking proposals.
  • Identify, develop and execute communications strategy for key media contacts and customer references.
  • Research media coverage and industry trends.
  • Develop fresh story ideas.
  • Conduct extensive media outreach.
  • Prepare briefing materials.
  • Coordinate scheduling and logistics.
  • Coordinate conference, trade shows, and press interviews.
  • Manage information.
  • Prepare agendas and conduct research.
