Job Title: Logistics Driving Associate / Material Handler

Location: Lancaster, PA 17601

Shift: 2nd Shift 3:30PM till 12:00AM

Pay Rate: $19/hr

Length of Assignment: 2 years (max)

Job Description:

The primary purpose of the Logistics Operations Associate  position is to manage the shipping, receiving, and handling of all raw materials, finished product, packaging components, and consumables throughout the plant and at the Extended Warehouse. Duties could also include allocation of product for shipment, issuance of material for destruct order, and various other tasks.

  • Operate the fork lift in the handling of materials throughout the warehouse to include the unloading (receiving), loading (disbursement) of trucks, and transfer of material to and from production.
  • Receive, issue, and distribute consumable materials.
  • Utilizing an electronic inventory control system (i.e. SAP), perform inventory control transactions to receive materials into the warehouse and to issue finished product for distribution.
  • Schedule dock appointments and accept delivery of incoming raw materials and packaging components in accordance with the daily dock schedule.
  • Respond to destruct orders/return to vendor orders to destroy or return non-saleable or non-usable raw materials and components by removing the goods and materials from the inventory control system.  Dispose of materials following written procedures.
  • May be responsible for allocation tasks.
  • Perform SOP updates as required.
  • Proficient in SAP transactions.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.                                                                     


  • High School degree or GED required               
  • Must be able to maintain forklift license
  • Prior pharmaceutical (SOP/cGMP) experience preferred.
  • Three plus years of warehousing/inventory control systems experience preferred
  • Three plus years of fork lift/material handling experience preferred.
  • Must be able to frequently lift/carry between 1-35lbs, and occasionally lift/carry between 36-50 lbs.
  • Must be able to lift from the ground to knees and waist and from the waist to shoulders.
  • Basic computer skills, including Windows Operating Systems, Microsoft Office, applications or equivalent and inventory control systems (SAP preferred).
  • Stand up forklift experience a plus
