Instrumentation Electrical Technician

Days shift and 2nd shift available

Tuesday thru Saturday Position

Pay is Open Depending on experience

Kelly Engineering is looking for a couple of strong Industrial Electricians for a growing manufacturing company in the Lancaster, PA area. The right candidates will have experience with PLC’s and HMI programming and be coming out of manufacturing/industrial setting.

Must Have Experience

  • PLC and HMI Programming – AB, Studio 5000, Factory Talk View
  • Ability to configure and troubleshoot 4-20ma and 0-10vdc loops, ensuring proper scaling and configuration of both the instrument and the analog module.
  • 3-5 years of experience in machine maintenance, electrical certification, troubleshooting skills. (e.g. CMRP or HVAC certified) are preferred.
  • Certified in some type of Technical /Electrical aspect.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing experience operating a variety of machines
  • Possess an advanced understanding of AC/dc electrical (up to 480 volts 3 phase), hydraulic and pneumatic schematics and mechanical drawings in order to solve problems in a timely manner.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Performing all electrical repairs, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting to all plant processes, associated electrical field devices, and materials handling electrical equipment.
  • Providing all programming support for plant PLCs, including Allen-Bradley ControlLogix, Compact Logix, SLC, and Micro Logix processors.
  • Updating, maintain, and add new programming as needed to support process and utility system needs.
  • Configuration of communications networks including Ethernet, Device Net and ControlNet
  • Actively supporting the Manufacturing organization through troubleshooting, problem identification and resolution.
  • Performing preventative maintenance (PM's) on process & packaging equipment with minimal guidance.
  • Replacing faulty electrical equipment, replace defective or worn parts, and reassemble equipment, using hand tools as directed. Splice wires by strip insulation from terminal leads, use hand tools, twist or solder wires together, and apply tape or terminal caps.   Observe functioning of installed equipment or system to detect hazards.
