Senior Accountant

Our client in Philadelphia is hiring two Senior Accountants to support the expansion of their Finance department. The Senior Accountant will assist the Controller with daily transaction reporting and reconciliation, budgeting and forecasting, and cash flow analysis. The Senior Accountant will also be responsible for the preparation and presentation of the company’s monthly and quarterly financial reports.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis reports
  • Assist with the reviewing of monthly and quarterly reporting packages   
  • Participate in preparation of the annual budgets for the parent company and subsidiaries. 
  • Reconcile all corporate and subsidiary monthly balance sheet account
  • Record corporate and subsidiary entity transactions and maintain financial records
  • Review and reconcile the bank accounts of all corporate entities
  • Prepare tax returns and any required workpapers.
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects assigned by the Controller or CFO.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is mandatory
  • Minimum of 3 years in corporate accounting is required.
  • Thorough understanding of GAAP and tax basis accounting
  • Experience with SAP or Yardi is preferred
