Environmental, Health and Safety Coordinator

Kelly Services is currently seeking a Environmental, Health and Safety Coordinator in Los Angeles, CA to work a contract assignment of 6 months for one of our top clients. Primary Responsibilities of the Environmental, Health and Safety Coordinator includes:

  • Support the development and implementation of comprehensive Safety Programs, in partnership and consultation with affected stakeholders
  • Support Safety Committees and provide direction and guidance.
  • Support site Emergency Response Teams and maintain operational readiness
  • Support construction and maintenance activities from an EHS perspective
  • Maintain site metrics, support Occupational Health initiatives
  • Support Environmental compliance and sustainability programs/initiatives
  • Provide Business Unit EHS leadership and support
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Working knowledge / understanding of EH&S matters, including related laws and regulations.
  • Experience in a research laboratory, biotechnology or pharmaceutical environment is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills to plan, prioritize, and execute multiple projects.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in a diverse environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain clear, accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Ability to recognize hazards, drives continuous improvement, and promotes practical alternatives for risk reduction and risk control measures.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively across multiple organizational levels

Additional Information:

  • Contract assignment, duration 6 months.    
  • Work schedule: full-time, first shift; 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
