Painter I
Select paint type and color according to job order specifications and blueprints. Pour paint into spray guns and adjust nozzles and paint mixtures for proper paint flow and correct coverage. 10% 2. Spray prepared surfaces with specified amounts of primer or finish coatings. Monitor painting process to identify flaws, such as blisters or streaks, and correct their causes. Verify paint consistency, using a viscosity meter. 40% 3. Prepare work pieces area for painting by sanding, grinding, cleaning or wiping. 40% 4. Interfaces with multiple departments on various job orders. Decide priority of work and coordinates with production supervisor. 10%
At least 6 months of experience using an air-compression spray gun
to paint and experience mixing paints.
Ability to read blueprints.

1-2 years painting experience.
Skill in:
o Basic computer use.
Ability to:
o Train Painter I, II, and III as needed. o Perform preventive maintenance of machines. o Assign daily work tasks to painters. o Clean equipment and work area. o Refer to blueprints and job order on computer and resolve any discrepancies with supervisor. o Do rework and touch up on work pieces. o Follow safety rules and procedures. o Do work assigned by supervisor. o Work in team environment, be quality conscious and strive for continuous quality improvement emphasis on Lean and 5s principles. o Keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm and hand in one position. o Make coordinate movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate or assemble very small objects. o See details at a very close range.
