Job Description

Great Direct Hire position in Tempe Arizona
M-F 3rd shift 9:30- 6:00 pm
$19.40 an hour


SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Repairs, installs and performs preventive maintenance on all production equipment to ensure that such equipment is in good operable condition at all times.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Assists with installations, operates, maintains, checks and assists in troubleshooting all types of A/C and D/C electrical equipment. Assists in installing, troubleshooting and repairing solid state and electronic equipment.

Installs, operates, maintains and checks all types of mechanical equipment as directed.

Performs preventive maintenance, inspections, adjustments and repairs as indicated on the formal CPMS program. Completes work orders and assigned work as directed by supervisor or lead.

Completes all reports and paperwork as required for company record keeping.

Troubleshoots and repairs food processing and industrial machinery.

Assists in installing and repairing electrical conduits, cables, piping, and tubing, including all necessary connection controls and grounding as directed.

Operates directed mobile lift truck and hoisting equipment in the performance of maintenance work.

Performs all PM and repair working accordance with AIB and GMP principals.

Possesses some knowledge of lubricants for all types of machines and performs necessary lubrication of production machinery as directed.

Helps maintain spare parts inventory for plant as directed by checking out parts from parts mezzanine, using parts procedure, and restocking shelves as directed.

Keeps work area clean. Perform cleaning of area assigned.

Assists in the training of new personnel.

Follows Company, GMP and Safety policies to ensure compliance with the HACCP program and AIB gold standard.

Maintains a positive and constructive work environment within the department as well as with other departments and promotes teamwork.

Must work various shifts and hours including holidays and weekends.

Other duties, as assigned.



Requirements


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent preferred

4 years of Industrial Maintenance/Electrical experience required



KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

Knowledge of local, state and federal electric codes preferred.

Certified for Allen Bradley PLC programming or equivalent preferred.

Installs and repairs electrical conduit, cables, piping, and tubing, including all necessary connections, controls and grounding as directed

Disassembles, repairs and reassembles gear boxes, fans conveyors, blowers, compressors, pumps, valves, furnaces, drives and all allied mechanical equipment when directed related to electrical troubleshooting

Oven combustion setup and safety devices troubleshooting and repairs

Possesses working knowledge of hydraulic, compressed air systems and be able to read complex diagrams and troubleshoot these systems

Installs and repairs pneumatic conduit, cables, piping, and tubing, including all necessary connections, controls and grounding as directed

MIG/TIG welding equipment

Arc welding equipment

Gas and Plasma cutting equipment

Power tools such as drill presses, cut off saws, lathes, mills and portable power hand tools.

Electrical test equipment such as voltmeter, megger, ammeter, diode and SCR tester.

Operates mobile lift trucks and hoisting equipment (fork lifts, scissor lifts)
