Facility Director Position Available (Direct Hire) - Suffern, NY

 

Kelly Services is currently seeking a Facility Director for one of their top beverage clients in the Suffern, NY area.

How Will You Contribute?

 

The Facility Director owns P&L, budgeting, cost reduction, safety, productivity, manpower, team development, logistics and all aspects of the facility. This role oversees the movement of our products from warehouse to account and is crucial to the success of our company. Our operations team works hand in hand with sales and other support departments to get the job done in the right way.

 

Your Main Focus Will Be:

  • Effectively leading and developing Warehouse Managers, Supervisors and team members in delivery, routing, receiving, recycling, replenishment and security.

  • Diligently monitoring all aspects of the facility P&L responsibilities, budgeting, scheduling, measurement and calculation, statistical analysis, forecasting and trending.

  • Implementing cost reduction initiatives.

  • Executing safety, quality, productivity goals as measured against KPIs, such as the order cycle, picking rates, accuracy and OOS.

  • Creating a spirit of continual analysis and improvement in areas of safety, quality and productivity.

  • Ensuring the company’s physical assets (building, equipment, inventory, alarm systems, etc.) are properly controlled, maintained, protected and utilized.

  • Partnering closely with HR to create staffing strategies to ensure staffing levels and a flexible workforce.

  • Working with team members at all levels to communicate and execute policies, procedures and process improvement initiatives.

  • Ensuring compliance with OSHA, DOT, and EPA regulations with particular emphasis on hazardous materials and power industrial equipment.

  • Building a cross organizational rapport to execute amazing customer service.

 

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, Kaizen experience.

  • Extensive knowledge and experience in the beverage and beer industry is a strong plus.

  • Has worked with a unionized workforce.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing all aspects of warehouse operations and distribution.

  • Experience with warehouse management systems.

  • Has overseen revenues of least 100 million dollars and has managed P&L.

  • Has supervised and developed individuals at the manager level.

  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Strong commitment and understanding of customer service.

  • Excellent organizational / time management skills.

  • Proven analytical ability, problem solving skills and data driven decision making capability.

  • Flexible schedule and ability to manage a multi-shift operation.
