Job DescriptionResponsibilities: Works closely with all Associates to answer questions and concerns regarding HR and Company. Looks for opportunities to improve current practices. Works with leadership to ensure the effective use of disciplinary counseling and works to ensure consistency throughout the company. Will assist with the processing of 401k payroll contributions, contribution reports and provide data as necessary to complete 401k compliance testing. Will assist with payroll processing, maintaining payroll database and generate necessary reports. Responds to Associate and Leader questions related to vacation, attendance and compensation policies. Assists with human resources planning, policy formulation and organizational development. Works to maintain compliance with federal, state and local governmental regulations. Recruits and hires Associates and maintains/improves hiring systems including: interviews, pre-employment testing, reference checks, drug tests and criminal background checks. Monitors the transfer and the job posting processes. Completes the orientation and induction process for new hires. Administers and monitors the temporary employee population. Serves as interface with the temporary service. Monitors the performance of temporary employees and determines whether they are eligible for hire.
Ensures compliance with TS-16949 training systems and maintenance. May coordinate outside training sources or present own training programs.
Responsible for internal communication processes to ensure that they are effective and professionally presented. Works to maintain and improve the compensation system. Ensures proper usage of wage and salary administration, job descriptions and job evaluation systems. Assists with the design, planning and implementation of benefit programs. Assist in the benefit plan renewal process. Monitors and tracks Associate leaves (FMLA and personal) to ensure consistency and compliance with state and federal regulations. Ensures all work areas meet 7S standards. May be required to perform additional duties as assigned.
Quality / Environmental Roles and Responsibilities:
Follows all procedures and work instructions and make recommendations to improve the process. Notifies Leader immediately upon detecting any non-conformances. Records all non-conformances to ensure corrective action and preventative measures are taken and assists in the achieving and maintaining TS-16949 and ISO-14001. Communicates and practices Quality and Environmental Management Systems. Takes an active role in achieving and maintaining TS-16949 and ISO-14001.
Knowledge, Skills, and Education Required: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Human Resources or an Associate's degree with 3-5 years of related experience. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Comprehensive knowledge of relevant employment laws. Outstanding interpersonal skills necessary for creative problem solving. Proficient in Microsoft Windows software including PowerPoint, Word and Excel. PHR or SPHR Certification is a plus.
Works mainly in an office environment with occasional visits to the plant. Must have the ability to use a computer and telephone.
